Details

  • For my HFE Methods course, I designed an allergy/medical device that verbally relays medical information with the push of a button in order to help kids and teenagers communicate their needs and/or assist during emergencies. This design is intended to work in place of traditional medical ID bracelets so that everyone is provided with more information quicker. Along with the device, I will be designing an app interface that will connect to the device and allow users to upload key information to their device. I have designed an interface prototype using Figma as well as a CAD prototype.

The second screen displays a form for creating an account with fields for name, email, phone number, emergency contact, and MedLink user. The third screen shows a welcome message with a child’s allergy and medical information, including allergies to dairy, wheat, soy, peanuts, and asthma, with a language selection option.
