Human Factors Engineering & Assistive Technology Project Focusing on Helping Children Communicate Medical Needs
Details
-
For my HFE Methods course, I designed an allergy/medical device that verbally relays medical information with the push of a button in order to help kids and teenagers communicate their needs and/or assist during emergencies. This design is intended to work in place of traditional medical ID bracelets so that everyone is provided with more information quicker. Along with the device, I will be designing an app interface that will connect to the device and allow users to upload key information to their device. I have designed an interface prototype using Figma as well as a CAD prototype.
